Ok captain obvious (sxy)

Anyway, read this (got it from a Helomech74 over on SVTP)

1.) T-56 tranny (either an 03/04 tranny or a 00 Cobra R spec or a Viper spec made for Mustang swaps.) Depends on what gear ratios you want and how hard you are willing to look for one. New they are all easy to come by, used the 03/04 ones are pretty much all over, while the other 2 are a little harder to come by. I found my 00 Cobra R spec tranny online for 600 bucks

2.) Either a new driveshaft custom made for your swap or have your stocker shortened. If you use an 03/04 tranny you will also need to change the yoke out to a 27spline as opposed to your 31 spline that you have now. The correct length for the shaft for the swap is 44.7" measured from centerline of one U-joint to the center line of the other U-joint. The length from the tranny tail shaft to the pinion flange is 49 9/16". The cheapest route would be shortening your stocker. I had a custom Dynotech shaft made to my specs.

3.) You can reuse your stock tranny crossmember on the T-56, but you will need a new mount. You have a couple of choices for your car. You can use a Camaro T-56 (if using an FRPP Aftermarket T56) mount which will require you to drill a hole in the crossmember between the 2 slots that are already there, or you can use the Prothane coversion mount (part number 6-1608). The Prothane mount is nice, it has the T-56 upper mount spacing, with the correct dual pin spacing on the bottom. You might need to shim the tranny up on the crossmember to make up for the ehxaust hanger plate that is removed. I used a piece of .125" thick 7075-T6 aluminum for mine. If using an 03/04 Cobra Transmission, just use your stock T45 mount.

4.) You will have to move your tranny crossmember mounts forward as well. You will basically use the forward hole on the frame rail as the new back hole and then drill a new hole for the front one. Pretty easy. If you need a picture of this let me know. (if doing this on a GT with a T45 you move the mount back not forward.)

5.) All the stock wires will plug right in on the T-56. You can reuse the reverse light plug from the stocker, just transfer it over to the T-56. I also swapped over the stock T45 reverse light switch to match my stock plug.

6.) You can either keep your stock 10.5" clutch/flywheel or change to an 11"

7.) Use the clutch fork from the T-45 or T-56 or buy a new one, they are both the same.

8.) Use the pivot ball from the T-56 (should come mounted on the tranny already.)

9.) You will need a new shifter for a T-56 as the T-45 won't work.

10.) If you get a tranny with an electrical speedo hookup, then you will need to also buy an extended range speed cal from Dallas Mustangs to calibrate the speedo. If you get one with a mechanical speedo, then just hook it up. No calibration box required. (although you can still use the standard DM speed cal to setup for gears, tires etc.)

11.) Starter bolts up no problem at all.

Can't really think of anything else to add to the list at the moment. I searched around online and got everything for my swap including a new flywheel, clutch, TOB billet sleeve, 26spline input shaft and all the other essentials (driveshaft, tranny, etc.) for about 2200 bucks. This is about 600 bucks less then D&D sells the basic kit for. They are way over priced, and not willing to help or answer questions about the swap unless you want to drop some serious cash for their stuff. Even then they are less then helpful.

It took you a lot to say what I just said.

Electronic Spedo needs to be bypassed with a SpeedCal

Shortened driveshaft

31 spline input shaft

Custom cross member

New Clutch

It actually only took about 2 minutes to search on SVTP (Im a member and see this post a lot)

Next time I'll just do some one word answers and let the OP figure it out
