hmmmmmmm.... it only has to survive the summer........ Damnit now you're going to have me spinning this thing up... cuz right now shifting at 5,500 rpms sucks big dog ***.

well you know, you have to do what your comfortable with, but if it were my car, I would take it to 6 grand, or 6250 without much thought

I wasnt going to just put the stock 5.4 in my car, i was going to rebuild it all forged internals cams 4v heads with p&p work, headers the whole nine yards. then put it in. I have heard of a few mustangs with the 5.4 making serious hp numbers modular mustang racing built a turbo 4v 5.4 mustang turing out 7 sec quarter mile runs. SWEET......

I shift my stock bottom end 4.6 at about 5700rpms it seems to be ok but after about 5500 i think the valves start to float and i dont feel any more power after 5500

the money your going to spend it would be cheaper to go the 4.6 rebuild route. But hey if you have the doe go for it!

^ but then you have still have a 4.6

im in a holding pattern right now after learning about that new 6.2L raptor 2v motor that can be bored to 7.3L... I just wonder how much its going to cost
