Yea, having a 3200 stall doesn't mean it'll rev that high before it takes off. During normal driving it does fine.

3k aint bad, my car gets up to 1700 before it moves..200 rpm more on a stall doesnt seem like it would be much worse..i drive my car everyday and its fine.

I've got a Performance Industries Stallion converter with a 3200 rpm stall and I couldn't be happier with it. It is probably in the top three best mods I've ever done. As far as dollar-to-fun ratio, a higher stall converter is hard to beat as it is a relatively inexpensive way to pull a lot more performance out of an auto tranny equipped car. As far as street manners go, there's not really a huge difference in the way the car behaves, that is until you mash the pedal PI makes a single disc and a multi-disc triple plate converter. Unless you are pushing A LOT of power, the 9 1/2" single disc should be perfect for you. I got mine from JDs Performance (www.jdsperformance.com). I recommend you give them a call, as opposed to just ordering online, because they are very knowledgeable and helpful and will help you pick the converter that is best for your application

Default Not both?

Ok interesting thread here..

So would there ever be a need to get a transbrake and a higher stall? I've gotten the trans-go shift kit install (which I'm assuming is all the upgrades to the valve body you guys are talking about), but I thought to improve launch the best I would have to get the transbrake AND a 3500 stall. Plus obviously tires and all that.

Would that be unnecessary?
