DTC (Running Lean) Discussion
#12
I personally have never seen a computer cause lean codes. That doesnt mean its impossible but I assure you its highly improbable.
I cant tell you how many people come into the parts department at my dealership to buy pcms and end up trying to return them (no return on electrical parts) because it didnt fix their problem.
Id put money on you having another problem.

A fouled plug would cause neither, but both would cause a fouled plug.
A hanging injector would be easily spotted by a completely fuel soaked plug.
A bad coil would be spotted by a similar looking plug, but maybe with more carbon deposits on it.
Swap coils if you suspect a bad one, but dont be suprised if you find a misfire on the original cylinder as well as the new one.
