Default Smelly!!!

About three days ago I noticed a stench in my car(Almost smells like feet). I coulndn't figure out where it was coming from. The smell worsend over a few more days. Turns out its coming from my vents. I was wondering if this could be a heater problem or somthing like that.
Thanks...

Does your heater work (blow hot air), and does your car keep antifreeze in it or do you have to fill alot?

I don't smoke and it's a 96' with 140k. And my heater does work but I haven't checked out my antifreeze in a while.

better hope its not your heater core! Could be sending antifreeze into your vents which would start to mildew. If your not careful, you could overheat due to insufficient antifreeze and end up cracking your heads. Have it checked by a professional.

Most likely it is a cracked heater core, needs replacing. Don't worry it is a very slow leak so just keep an eye on your coolant level until you fix it.

umm yeah you should bipass it like i did, just disconnect the heater core and reconnect your coolant system to itself. cracked heater core with coolant flowing through it = coolant all under your carpet not to mention constant low colant light!. check your carpet on the passenger side closet to the dash. if it smells like maple syrup, then you got coolant leaking from your heater core.
