Default need some info on the fuel pump

okay, im in the middle of a swap from my v6 to a v8 i was wondering is the fuel pumps between the two have an significant differences

if possible instead of pulling down the gas tank and changing out the fuel pump i was wondering if its possible to keep the fuel pump thats already in place an use it with no problems?

Are you keeping a return style fuel system or are you going with a returnless system? If staying return and not using a 98 ecm then your pump should work for mild performance. If your gonna have a returnless system then you need a new pump, and lines.

I didn't realize you were doing this on a 2000 v6, Is that system a return style?

Are you using the ecm from the car the motor came out of? If so then you'll need to use the pump out of the gt unless your v6 was a returnless system. Return style pumps and returnless ecms don't play well together.

just to be safe i would put the gt pump in. when your doing work on a car i always do everything properly, it may take longer than shortcuts, but i know that the work i did was correct.
