This kinda thing always happened with the non-pi intakes it seems, not so much the pi intakes though. I'm sure if you went looking for a stock intake you'd get one with the metal acrossed the front, that's the one you should buy. Ford figured it out and reinforced those things since it happened far too many times with the 96-98's. Tell you what, if I were you, I'd take the opportunity to find an aftermarket one or a used bullitt intake somewhere and slap it on there. I know it cost more but if you were to run nitrious or cool the intake before a drag with ice, you wouldn't want to blow the plastic one up or crack another one that's barely enforced. Just my two cents worth.

La di da *wink =)

I see a lot of used PI intakes(with the aluminum crossover) being sold for less than $200. Check the classifieds here, but I see A LOT more over on corral.net . Modularfords also has people selling them ocassionally.

What's wrong with Dorman? I got a leak a few weeks ago and replaced it with a Dorman. I didn't know they suck...do I have future problems to look forward to now?

dorman has the 0-rings built into the manifold and you dont need to use intake manifold gaskets.... just buy the intake from american muscle: http://www.americanmuscle.com/intake-manifold.html and get some new intake gaskets.
