Hey guys, on our New Edge Mustangs, do you have to pull the whole motor to get the heads off??
That's what I was told by my mechanic, just wondering if he's trying to pad the bill.
Thanks

You don't have to but it still takes the same amount of time either way. Most shops prefer dropping the motor through the bottom to remove the heads.

I did valve covers on my car, and that was a pain in the ***. I don't want to imagine what it's like trying to get the heads out over the studs with the engine in the car.

i agree, just did my valv covers and it was the biggest pain... by the time you remove all the stuff you need to get the heads off, you can just drop the motor and make it 100x easier

With head studs it's nearly impossible!
