Default Mustang Battery Terminal Issue

Have had an issue with my terminals for years. trying to remove them and have no idea how to take them off. how do you remove the terminals. im guessing from looking at the picture you will understand what i mean.

those are crimped on obviously. you have to cut them off.

No, that tool just pulls stubborn terminals off the battery posts. Just cut the terminal off man even if you pry those tabs back chances are the bare wire there is corroded and needs to be trimmed back anyway. Why are you trying to remove the ends?

the negative has been bad for years. im trying to replace the just the terminals. if i cut it off will the new terminals fit the battery correctly?

Just cut the wire as close to the crimp as possible, strip it back a bit and use any of the replacement terminals sold at your FLAPS...

This epoxy coated set from Autozone will work well, and look pretty good too...

Yeah, just hack them off and put the new terminals on. There is plenty of wire there.
