DOHC heads
I found a Lincoln continental with 4v heads at my local bone yard, and I was wondering what I need off the engine in that car. basically what swaps between 2v/4v
I was gonna snag the heads and intake....do I need the fuel rail or timing cover or chains?

i found out[from a differnt forum] its a big hassle to swap 4v heads on a 2v motor and it was better to pull the whole motor but the car was front wheel drive so the bellhousing wouldnt match up

You would need a lot to make the swap.
Heads, complete intake (TB, injectors, fuel rails, EGR stuff if you decide to keep it, TPS, throttle cable), maf, timing chains, secondary chains and tensioners, timing cover, coolant crossover tube, exhaust manifolds plus gaskets.
I'm sure I'm missing something. I don't know if you would be able to use your stock engine harness or not. It seems like a lot but if you know what you're doing it isn't bad.

Keep in mind the continental is a transverse mount 4.6, the block itself will not work if you plan on picking up the whole motor. The motor mount location is different as long as the bellhousing bolt pattern. The timing cover on the continental differs from the cobra and mark vii as well.
