yea ive got flows too and my highway cruising isnt anything unbearable, theres a little hum to it but thats what you get with exhaust, bought my car used so im not sure what series they are, but i love the way they sound and would never change them

ya, i got flows as well, and ther is little to no "drone"

in fact, i enjoy the little drone you feel, it almost feels more powerful

so imo, flowmasters are not bad like every1 says!

its the same with armour all, every1 hates it, but no1 has a good reason to

All exhaust systems drone at 1900-2k rpm, there really is no avoiding it. I've never ridden in a car equipped with flows, but from what I understand they are the worst in terms of drone.

yeah i had the bbk o/r x pipe with the 40 series and on the highway they droned like hell. Couldn't hear anything. Ended up taking the x-pipe off and the flows are fine now. Maybe it has something to do with a non factory H or X pipe... not sure though.

I'm still confused on which cat-back to go with. Thing is, I've heard flowmasters on a mustang before and I love the way they sound, but I don't want anything that is a lot louder than stock cause I drive all the time for work. Also, since the magnaflows are stainless steel, that's also appealing and I keep hearing they are pretty quiet til you romp on it which is kinda what I'm looking for. I've just never heard a magnaflow system in person and the clips sound a lil raspy and not like the rumble I'm looking for.

As far as the mid-pipe goes, I was pretty set on a high flow catted H cause I heard they give a deeper rumble sound and also don't eliminate any low-end torque.....torque is good!!!! I've also heard people saying an X pipe sounds like garbage with chambered mufflers.

Would you say the magnaflows sound more like an old Boss Mustang or more like a modern day Ferrari type car?

flows are MUCH louder than stock (depending on the series).

You should go to www.mustangexhaust.com and have a listen for yourself.

In my opinion, the magnaflows "bark" and the flows "gurgle".

Don't get me wrong though. I really like the sound of the American Thunder catback with an offroad H pipe. That is probably what I would have on my car if I could stand the drone.

When I first got my car, the first thing i did was put on a CAI and a 40 series catback with the stock midpipe and stock gears. It wasn't long before I bought the magnaflow x and catback.

It's all in what you like though dude. Afterall, a mustang should sound like a mustang

I think I will probably go with the Force II system, but does anyone know if it is louder than stock at idle or cruising? I don't want it to be too loud, but I want to at least be able to tell I bought an aftermarket exhaust.

And just so everyone knows....I wasn't ragging on the magnaflow exhaust. I used the word "importish" for lack of a better word, haha.

Hey DuckyGt. You have the same exhaust setup I want to get. Did you notice a power gain? And how does it sound?

I really did notice the power gains i chirped my tires more then i normally did when i was stock, nothing crazy tho the long tubes were main for that deep bada$$ sound and for later when i get blown. Its really deep and the idle is pretty sick(in a good way). But with this setup dont expect to catch people off guard cuz they can here you a mile away and know your stang is modified. I love it. But some of the best fun is killing stock mustang drivers who think they got something.
