Hi I have a 96 gt with a 5.1 stroker in it. For the last 2 weeks I have been having a starting issue, sometimes it will start sometimes it wont. The lights. radio,fuel pump,windos and everything work but when I turn the key there is nothing. Not even an attempt to crank. So far I have had the battery and alternator tested and they are fine. The starter is less than a year old and works when the car does start, I have checked all the fuses and replaced the starter relay and am currently waiting on a new clutch safety switch to be deliverd. I know this is a long post and I appreciate any help at all. This is driving me nuts lol.

I would say to check your battery cables and grounds. Does the power stay on when it won't crank, or does everything die? Could be ignition switch too.

Hi thanks for the reply, if the radio is on and i crank it it goes quiet till I let off the ignition switch. Im hoping its not the ignition switch.

Check the cables and the grounds, my money is on them.
