Default BBK 75mm TB

Well I just got done installing the new TB. I started it up and threw a code saying something like the tps voltage is too low. Does this mean that I fried it? Will I need a new one? I did not disconnect the battery just to let you know.

Do disconnect the battery, this will reset the com[uter. Anytime you disconnect al the connections to the TB it will give a code. Also the computer needs to reset itself to the new TB.

To check the TPS,turn the ignition switch ON with the engine not running.Install the probes of a digital voltmeter into the ground (gry-red)and signal (gry-wht) wires on the backside of the connector. The sensor should read .50 to 1.0 at idle position.Have a helper push the gas pedal steadily to the floor and the voltage should increase smoothly to 4.0-5.0 volts. You can also check the reference voltage from the PCM and it should read 5.0 vdc.If the voltages are wrong the TPS must be replaced. It might be less trouble to just buy a new TPS.

I just now contacted BBK performance. They said that I would have to ajust the idle screw and make the holes a bit bigger so that I can rotate the TPS. Has anyone done this on there stang. Which direction should I go?

I think that you can adjust the throttle cable on the upper part of the accelerator. I think?
