Yeah man if you can do two things at once just go for it!!! Radiator fluid is cheat and simple to flush, so just DO IT! haha

what are the preformance gains of going w a different thermostat? ive heard 160 180? and do you have to tune your computer to let it know whats going on?

I don't really know about all that. I think just go with the regular one. I never heard of performance out of thermostat but maybe.

At 160 the car may be stuck in it's rich warm-up mode, hurting gas mileage by more than a little... As far as I know there aren't any problems with 180.

Zero. Run a 180 for a little cooler engine, 160 is too cold for most climates. Running no thermostat is bad for all the emissions components and will actually lower your MPG since the engine and Air/fuel mixture will be at the weathers mercy and usually run rich.

So the general concensus is to drain or not drain the rediator fluid? And I was reading my owners
manual and can I or can I not just poar the fluid right back in? Or do I have to do some voodoo
trick where I poar half in, let the car warm up and the procede with the the rest? Any info. would be
most helpful on both questions. Thanks!!!
