04 gt 4.6 collapsed Pcv tube and possible intake manifold gasket leak
The other day I realized that I was missing a lot of power and having trouble getting up to speed I heard a whistle from under my hood while driving I came to find out that my PCV tube had collapsed on the 90° elbow so after I ordered a new one I think I found a leak in my Intake manifold gasket so now I don’t want to put that PCV on until I get the new intake manifold just in case that vacuum leak is the reason why the tube collapsed in the first place has anybody ran into this problem and do you have any advice that might help

A vacuum leak won't cause a collapse. Vacuum is what pulls on the side walls of the
tubes, so, the vacuum collapses (implode), pressure would pop the hose (explode).
Many things can cause an intake manifold gasket to leak. One of the primary causes of intake
manifold gasket failure is heat. Vacuum leaks are caused by a malfunctioning intake manifold
gasket, vacuum leaks do not cause it to fail.
The tube collapsed ether because the hose became weak, or the PCV wasn't open.
The vacuum will still be present, and will still pull at the walls of the hose, and it
finally gave way. Plain old rubber hose will collapse. My Mustang has hard
plastic PCV lines, they won't collapse. When I put my catch can in with
rubber hoses, the hoses collapsed. SO, I had to go with AN10 braided
hose.
I think the hose is just weak, because fully collapsed, you would then build crank
case pressure, and risk blowing head, or valve cover gaskets.
