question about handheld tuners
i posted this question in SVT, but apparently not to many people frequent the SVT section, so im gonna post it here but just have a different question. I bout a 96 cobra last week. well when my engine is cold and i crank it up, it just won't idle it just kinda sputters and dies, but after a few minutes it will idle fine. My question is this, he had a diablo chip installed and im assuming tuned it and then removed it (i have it in my console now) if i get a tuner and retune it without the diablo chip would this likely fix my problem, and which one should i get. i want one that will give me a lot of options, but won't cost too much, maybe 3 or 4 hundred bucks. here are a list of the mods on the car
Suspension;
gripp caster camber plates
Eibach lowering springs
bilstein shocks
new rear tires
(will throw in a set of mac subframe connectors uninstalled)
Motor;
steeda underdrive pullies
imrc delete plates
mac cold air intake
Drivetrain;
new king cobra clutch
Exhaust;
bbk offroad h-pipe
flowmaster catback

RE: question about handheld tuners
diablo's are nice. as far as the starting issue removing the tune would not cause that issue. I would do the standard things tune-up-air/fuel filters. mabe someone else can chime in if they have more detailed ideas
