Belt squeal

Belt squeal
Belt only squeals when it rains heavy. After it starts to squeal, I open up the hood to try and see where it's coming from and it sounds like the belt tensioner pulley. But why would it only do that after a hard rain? Engine bay is virtually oil free, just the usual on top of the valve covers. I do have a termi hood with the vents, is it possible water somehow finds its way on the belt or tensioner?

belt could be dried out enough it's not gripping anymore.
New one is a pretty simple DIY. You don need to take the tensioner off. would be a good time to put a new one on!
Oh and draw out the belt routing before you take the belt off...

Ha physics.. Ya belt is easy to replace. Just thought it was a weird issue. Oh btw, blew a spark plug from # 8 cyl. Threads gone from cylinder head, spark plug and coil pack toast. Had my mechanic put in a timesert, the only real way to fix. Also I don't know when but I heard Ford put a TSP on the spark plugs. Use the blue loctite and torque 12 - 15 lbs.
