weird heads
well fellas i took my heads to the machineist today and we encountered a weird glitch. i wanted oversize valves put in, he is gonna do P&P, 3 angle valve job and the oversize valves. as we were deciding how big i should go he measured the valves currently on my FRPP alum. PI heads, well, turns out intake was 1.840" and exhaust was 1.413". now the valves i was gonna get are smaller than that, whats going on? the dude i bought them from never mentioned haveing any work done so im not sure what to think. does anyone know for sure the stock PI valve sizes, can anyone lend any ideas?

Hey make sure your valves clear your pistions. And that they match up to you the cams your getting. If they are to short your rocker arms are goin to come fling off. And if they are to long they are goin to bind your rocker arms up. And ruin the bearings in them.

well, found out what was goin on. the heads i got are the SVO NPI heads from FRPP. the valves in them were mod max road warrior OEM replacements with oversized heads. i also found out im gonna need a special cam grind and the expensive intake to make them work the best. chances are im gonna sell them and go for the sean hyland PI heads with stage 1 porting. what u guys think?
