1999 Mach 460 system Problems!!!
Please help, I was on my way home from work today and turned my 460 system down to answer my cell phone, when I turned it back up there was absolutely no bass, it acts as if all of the amps quit working it only sounds like treble coming out of the speakers, has anyone had this problem and know what causes it, or how I can fix it? I'm at a loss especially since I have no owners manual, I did pull the cover off of the fuse box under the L/H side of the steering column and under the drivers side of the hood, but found no fuses, please any advice would be greatly appreciated!

RE: 1999 Mach 460 system Problems!!!
Somebody please give me advice on this, I know it's a common problem on the 460 system, and NO I don't want to junk the system and replace it with another. Someone, somewhere has rectified this problem at some point and time I'm sure, head unit....amps....etc. Does anyone know if there are any specific fuses or fuseable links somewhere in the car that I may have overlooked?? Please give me some advice!

Check the fuses on the amps in the trunk. You have to almost lay on your back in the trunk. There should be one on each amp on each side. Total of two. If that doesnt work get a little power tester at the local Autozone or Kragen and test every fuse, in the entire car. Its just a little lite with a point, you touch it to each side of the fuse. Shouldn't take more than five minutes. You don't even have to take them out. If it lights up its getting power if not then the fuse may be blown. Its a hell of a lot faster than taking them all out and looking at them.
