I need advice on what the widest slick I can fit on a 7.5 wide wheel 9 10 11 I really need for a 11.5 to fit on this wheel.. will it or will that even fit under my car 99 gt conv

I don't suggest putting a 11.5" slick on a 7.5" wheel.

Try getting a 10" wide wheel then I think that 11.5" slick will fit. I have a 10.5" wheel and I have a 12.5" tire on there. Thats from one side of the tread to the other. I dont know if thats how they measure slicks. But mabye you could get away with 9.5" wide wheel. That would be the same ratio as mine.

here is where im at right now..I have 2 7.5 wide wheels and I need to know how wide of slick fits that wheel. a good wide tire but fits well ya know looks like it should..

I had 26x8.50. It was plenty of tire for 250+ rwhp. Unless ur packing some power, you can hook fine on it.

Not safe to put 11.5" slicks on 7.5" wheels. The sidewall on slicks is meant to be straight on the sides. putting 11.5 on 7.5 will cause excessive "walk" on the rear. I did this once on 10" slicks on 7.5" wheels, it seems okay until about 115mph then it starts to walk and the faster you go the more it walks.

ps you must have one mean car that needs 11.5 slicks, my 86 GT on 10" pulls a 1.4 60".

^^ 1.4? what are you runnning? 11's? and whats your 1/4 GT35convert? you prlly dont need that wide of a tire. I hook up preet good on DR's- 2.02 60ft. mods below.

10.11 should be 9s when I get the new tranny in.
