Default Swapping a 302 into a 98 gt w/ 4.6L

Hey Ladies and Gent's. New here and I apologize if this is a repeated thread. I have a '98 Mustang gt, 4.6L 5speed manual. I just spun a bearing in the thing and want to know if you can succesfully swap a carburated 302 into this car without too much trouble (fabricating motor mounts, changing transmissions etc...). I expect a few difficulties but I'm not looking to spend 3 months on the change. This is my daily driver, and I don't really care for the 4.6L. I say daily driver I have a work truck so this is really just a grocery getter but I still drive it almost every day just to have some fun. Any help, ideas, or knowledge on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

It's not really the 4.6L so much. I just hate computerized motors in general. More expensive to work on.

well, it would not be to smart to put a non EFI 5.4 in a 98 GT. it would be a lot of work, and worthless. just buy a 94-95 mustang. a EFI will make more power and better fuel economy. you will need to buy a T-5 trany . you T-45 trany wont work. the motor mounter are Diffrent and the K-member is probable diffrent im not sure.

If having a 5.0 is something else you were looking for, you could always just get a D.S.S. 5.0 modular stroker kit. You may need to replace all that stuff anyway with the spun bearing.

This is if you want a cheaper alternative to what you mentioned.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm just gonna buy a rebuilt long block so I can have it running again and sell the thing. Thanks again.
