couple quick questions
After doing all of the basic bolt ons to my 97 gt (besides heads/intake/cam-too much f'n money)...i was planning on getting a chip/dyno tune for my car. I live in New Jersey, and one of the best known performance shops around here said they only do work on 99+ mustangs...so i am unsure where to get this work done on my car?? Does anybody live in NJ that could recommend a place to get a custom burnt chip and a dyno tune?? I was plannin on going to JDM...but not anymore i guess. Also, the tech there said that they do not make custom burnt chips for 97 gt's....is this true?? Do you guys think its worth to get a chip/tune, if i can find the right place for this setup?? thanks
okay...i dont think im going to spend the money on a dyno tune...i really dont need one with just bolt ons...so ive decided to get a SCT XCalibrator Tuner...is this a good idea? Can you explain how they work?? How much hp can i expect?? I want to do a chip or a tuner...so which should i do or can i do both?? i saw on this site that i can buy a SCT Superchips Custom Eliminator 4-bank chip, which supposedly just gives instant hp...or should i buy the SCT XCalibrator 2 Tuner, or can i buy both?? im just really confused because i am done with all the modding to my car, i just want to get it running how it should now. Also, can you explain what a REV limiter is and what the coin bezel switches do?? Any help on the chip/tuner subject will be helpful...thanks
