Default Looking for Info 2000 Electric Green Saleen Clone

I'm looking for some info on a 2000 GT Saleen Clone. We purchased it from Ebay last year in FL. But if I remember correctly, I think it originally came from The Northeast somewhere.

I LOVE the car! I certainly gets the stares (be them good or bad). (My mother thinks it is an ugly car, but she has no taste.) I would like any background information on the car. I had the carfax info what I'm looking for is the person who did the changes from GT to saleen. I would love to know the history and his/her reasons for the choices they made. I know this is a long shot, but I've been thinking of posting to some of the forums to see if I could by chance locate the person responsible for "creating" this beautiful car.

Specifics about the car. It is a 2000 Electric Green GT converted to Saleen. It has the tan top and the tan interior, as well as a tan stylin bar. It appears to have all the Saleen exterior add ons except the saleen side scoops (still has the GT). The interior was left pretty much GT. We have since added the white gauges and the saleen pedals. We have also added a Cervinnis sportster cover. I have many pictures of this car, but for a Mustang enthusiast, it is fairly memorable. Like I say either way......because it is a love it / hate it sort of car. Usually LOVE it.

If you have any information on this car, please message me. Thanks so much.

You could try to go to a ford dealer, they can run the VIN to its original owner. Although i doubt they will give you the info.

You guys sound like my husband.... lower it, modify it..... I'm actually very happy with it the way it is. It runs plenty fast for me. I get enough speeding tickets in my regular vehicle. It does have the Saleen pullies and I did let my husband put a cold air intake on it. Other than that, nothing else has been done to it. I got this because my first love a black 91 GT convertible with many mods was totalled. When it was totalled, the insurance company wanted to allow NOTHING for any of the mods. Bascially they only wanted to give a third of what it was worth to me. I couldn't find anything close to what I had for what they wanted to give. We ended up making a deal with the insurance company and keeping the car. My husband is in the process in taking the motor and mods from the wrecked one and putting it on an 89 notchback. He tells me he will race me when he gets it finished. I tell him to modify it the way he wants and leave mine alone. No matter what, mine will always be prettier than his. Thanks for the posts.
