Default Wont Start.

I was out of the country for 4 months. I have a 1999 mustang and I cant get it to start. The battry is fine. It will turn over but wont start. I used some starter fluid and it will start until that burns off. So i'm guessing fule is not getting to the engine. Any ideas other then the fule pump?

Thanks

did you turn the key to 'acc' - preiginition... i.e. put the key in, turn it till JUST before it cranks, let it sit for 10 seconds or so, thet should give the pump some time to prime, try that and come back to us

auto or man?

if it's man, make sure the clutch is all the way down... and give it alittle gas with the accel pedal...

Hrm, I'm honestly not sure, it could be the fuel pump.. Here's a though though, is their fuel in the car? Try jumping it at all? sometimes it might turn but doesnt have quite enough juice to catch, one last try: turn the car into acc mode, then turn off all electronics in the car, anything sucking juice, otherwise, I dont know, though Im sure someone will be on later who will

Ok, thanks for your help. The thing is though I'v got it to start with starter fluid but then it dies.

It does sound like the fuel pump to me as well. Have you ever changed the fuel filter?

The fuel pump is your problem. They are notorious for freezing up if they sit for long. Drop the tank, buddy.
