high rpms?

Default high rpms?

Im trying to get good gas mileage so at 45 in the city I drive in 4th gear at 19k rpms

does any one else do this or do you guys ride in third or maybe fifth?

whoops forget to say 98gt stock

5th gear as soon as possible. I ride in 5th at 35mph.

i couldn't care less about gas mileage so i generally shift at about 2500-3000

I believe you can shift into 5th at 45mph by the manual.

It should tell you in your owners manual. This is what mine says for a 2003.

Upshifts when accelerating (recommended for best
fuel economy)
Shift from:
1 - 2 18 km/h (11 mph)
2 - 3 31 km/h (19 mph)
3 - 4 48 km/h (30 mph)
4 - 5 64 km/h (40 mph)

I wouldn't recommend driving around at 19,000 RPMS dude. You should get your rear end checked out to. I think you might have 7.90s installed.

I wouldn't recommend driving around at 19,000 RPMS dude. You should get your rear end checked out to. I think you might have 7.90s installed.
lol....totally missed that.

you might want to have your rev limiter checked out too.....lol

I agree. I usually shift the gears at each respective speed
Shift to 2 at 20, 3 at 30, 4 at 40, 5 at 50.

I don't think I'd go 35 in 5th....
