ORIGINAL: Hoppers01Gt

I have a question for you Code: Cams and gears will prob run mine close to a grand and spray will prob go for somewhere around $700. My question is what should I go with first, whats your opinion? The other night I go run all over by a Sti, and I dont want that to happen again. Thanks for any advice!
It depends on what your ultimate goal is. If it were me, get a set of DR's, upper/lower CA's and a good nitrous kit with a window switch....DO NOT cheap out on the nitrous kit, make sure you get all the safety goodies. I used the Holley NOS dry kit and ran it for over 4 years with ZERO problems. I have been reading up on the ZEX kits and they seem pretty solid. By staying with the stock gears, you will suffer while running N/A, but will definitely help with traction on the juice.

I would do supercharger, your not going to make the same amount of hp and tq with full bolt ons. But you can always go full bolt ons, then forge the bottom and and you will be making all the power you will need. Nitrous is apealing sometimes, but I would like to have that power all the time, not just once in a while.

Cams, springs, valve spring compression tool, misc. cost me about $1000.

Gears, shims and bearings, gear oil, install. Cost me about $600

I never take my car to the track(No time!!!). Most of my racing is done from a roll and you really dont need DR's and Upper/Lower CA's.
