Default X/H pipe and cat backs

This site is great! I have decided on my gears and now would like to ask about exhaust. I have an 03 GT. What X/H pipe and cat back exhaust system will work the best and produce the best gains. I would like to add these on this weekend. Thanks for the help.

I'm not too sure about gains, (haven't had my car on the dyno yet), but the sound of a bassani x-pipe, with a borla stinger cat back is pure honey!

+1, but i think the stingers can be alittle pricey. I love my magana packs, and If i'm right they're alot cheaper than the stingers.

it wont matter what brand you go with in terms of power,,,,

a midpipe and catback with ANY combination should be within 1-2 rwhp
its a prerference of sound and volume

Midpipes
H is gonna be a tad deeper at idle
X is gonna have a bit more volume at WOT but also have a tad more high pitch while hammering it through the rpms

Catted vs O/R this one is simple
catted is legal, and quieter
uncatted, is illegal, and louder

Catbacks
this is the part where you get no useful information in most of the debate threads

Borla has two or three
SLP Loudmouth I
SLP Loudmouth II
MangaPacks
MagnaFlow
Flowmaster x100 different catbacks
Bassanni
MAC
the list goes on and on,,,, there are several differences is price, volume, tone

its all preference, just ask around and find out where to find clips
i chose borla stingers with a MAC o/r H after searching around on mustangexhaust.com
join for free, then listen to some clips,, dont forget to look around their forums too, very helpful
