Default I want 4v Heads!

I have an 03 gt and i was wondering what it would take to put some 4v heads on my stang. Would i have to replace the whole top end or is it just a direct bolt on kinda thing? And i read that it gives like 65hp true?

I think all he wants to do is the heads. Not the whole conversion. Its basically the same thing, but he wants to keep his block and just swap heads with a 4v.
If it was that easy, everybody with a 2v would be doing it. So I'm gonna say no, that it would be hard to do and probably costly, thats if its even possible.

Even if you had the heads, there is still the intake, timing components, timing cover, and on and on and on... it's cheaper to buy a 4v motor and drop in, and a helluva lot easier overall.

True, but I dont think thats what hes talking about. I guess hes thinkin you can do it like a Honda and just drop in different heads. Like take a Type R head from a Civic and put it on a regular EX or Integra GSR. I've heard of Honda guys doing stuff like this all the time.

That wouldn't even give you a "Cobra motor conversion" anyway.

Yup, they will bolt up. We actually used to build race motors with 4V heads on a 2V block (because the GT block was iron and all Modular Cobras had aluminum blocks until 2003-2004.) There is a lot that has to be changed out which will get expensive, but it is not as complicated as you might think. Also something to think about. 2V cams- $600... OUCH! 4V cams- $1200...Double OUCH!!!
