Ok, so I just got a check today for 4500.00 to rebuild my motor. The thing is, I want to do a forged bottom end, and a stage 2 heads. So far, I have been given a quote for 750.00 just to pull, rebuild, and replace the motor...not including the parts. Anyone have some ideas of some good parts I can look for while staying under the 4000 dollar mark? Also, I figure a misc. area of about 300 bucks for gaskets, oil, etc. Thanks in advance.

 

several places you can buy a forged block. Texas Hot Rods can build you one, MMR has a short block for around 2400 i think, it's several ways you can go. Brothers performance etc.
