Default what the hell is PI?

Hey everyone, richie formerly from 05 up section, now pretty much 100% OT. Anyway, I was driving a 90 GT, then a 93 Z28 and then unfortunately an 02 Civic when the 4.6 2v's were powering the GT. So I keep hearing "PI"...what does that stand for, and what is a PI swap? Which engines are PI and which aren't? The search feature didn't help any.
Thanks guys...

performance improved. 96-98 = non PI, 99 - 04 = PI. PI have a different intake, heads and cams.

PI = "Power improved" According to Wikipedia
Better flowing heads and intake

PIs are on the 99-04s

The PI parts made the GT go from 215hp to 260hp

OK so that's what bumped the new edges to 260hp/302 ft/lbs over the 96-98's 225hp/??? ft/lbs. Thanks.

while we're on the subject, what was the nonPI 4.6 2v's torque rating? Couldn't find it online. I'm thinking it was 225 ft/lbs?

nvm I found it: 290.
