Stick Shift
dude don't sell the cobra. I never drove a manual until i got my GT and I was sooo nervous all the time. It was probably 2-3 weeks until I started to really get comfy driving. Now I would never go back to an auto, so boring.

When I'm on a hill I don't even use my brake to hold myself still... I always play with the gas and clutch to keep steady... now I can usually hold it at around 900-1000rpmsso I won't stall out.

LOL! This is exactly what makes most of us cringe! These are thedrivers clutches everywhere have nightmares about!
Dude, you guys havebecome an expert at burning your clutches. What a great skill!

lol when i got my cobra i use to hate hills, people were always on my ***, i did a few peel outs across intersections trying to get moving fast and not roll back
but after about a week i was good to go. I use the brake on hills, letting the clutch out a bit isnt good for the car, just wait till your ready to go, leave your foot on the brake then put it in first then let out a bit on the clutch and give it some gas, you shouldnt roll back when you get used to the car, youll learn to love it

We've all been there man. But I would definately stick with it (pun intended). Once you get used to driving stick like it's second nature you will enjoy it 100x's more. Also be sure you can drive the car smoothly so it shifts like an auto before you try any tricks. Basics before fun!
1. DONT SELL THE COBRA!
2. My car was my first stick car and i had to teach myself to drive it ( i knew the basics, i rode a motorcycle before i got my gt)...my first day driving was in morning rush hour downtown in the rain because someone slashed my truck tires and i had to get to work...YOU WILL get used to it...jsut give it some time...i will never buy another automatic car the rest of my life
3. It's just a car...you can learn on it...and in fact, im more comfortable in my car than in my moms auto mazda3 that i drive on occasion...stick is so much better! it will become second nature .... only took me 3 weeks to get it down so i dont roll back on hills...
4. cars dont accelerate backwards(aside from gravity), as long as you get moving you should have like 2-3 seconds at least before you even come close to rolling into anything...
5. after you come to your senses and sell the GT, you will love the cobra, and next time you drive auto i guarantee you are gonna go for that "invisible clutch" a few times!
