Default NC Emmissions?

I have a '99 GT and I want to get some Longtube headers with a catted H-Pipe. And I was not sure if this would be emmissions legal in NC because I dont have Pre-Cats.

I dunno, but i dont have any cats and passed my car. Then again, I know somebody.

as long as you HAVE cats, im pretty sure you will pass. the headders wont matter. they make a catted shorty H? (im assuming it s a shorty since you have full length headders)

I do state inspectionsfor Nc and you're not supposed to pass a car wth a tampered exhaust, especially with long tubes. Also, the book will show that your car left the factory floor with 4 cats and at the time of inspection you're only going to have 2 cats. You could fail for that, too. Find someone who would pass you if you're worried about it.

well I went up to one of the basic shops here and said it doesnt matter how many came from the factory, you just need to have a set of working cats. He inspects in NC. (this was advice to a guy trying to actually legally PASS the NC inspection)
