Convertable replacement info.

Convertable replacement info.
So, with the guy who was asking about how hard it was to replace on his own, i started calling around to finaly replace mine.
Just wondering what everyone else has paid (parts AND labor)?
I called 3 places within 2 hours of my home and here was my outcome:
First place, about 10 miuntes away from me: "Every car is different, it could take more time than the last car like ours, or it could take less, its hard to tell and give an accurate price beforehand. I would say it's going to be between $1400 and $1700 but probably closer to the 16-1700 end of things"
FUKC HIM.
Second place, about 2 hours away: Guy seemed nice and gave more detailed info on replacing a vert top, not just some BS about how it will probably take a while and he will find some way to jack the price up durring instalation, like the previous guy implied. quoted me $950 parts and labor.
Third place. About 1 hour away, right around the corner from my companies main warehouse: This guy knew his shlt. Told me that if the pads and cables were worn and needed replacing, i would be notified durring the in-person estimate. If it needs them, and I opt out, NO warranty. If it needs them and I go through with it, 5 year warranty. Said if my top is sailcloth it would be $845 and if it was some other material i didn't remember, it would be $878. And he said they do things to nothing but OE specs.
What does everyone else pay out there around the country?

RE: Convertable replacement info.
I just had mine redone last month for $700.00+ tax. The place did it while I waited & it took 4 1/2 hours at a pro place with all the right tools. The price included a heated back window also. I never really liked the tan top that was on the car, so I had it replaced with a black one.
