Default 300hp?

On the 99-04 Mustang GT's, what mods would be necessary for making 300hp?

be a little more specific... 300 bhp or 300 rwhp?

300 bhp can probably be accomplished with full exhaust, tb/plenum, and a good tune (EDIT: the tb/plenum probably wouldn't do a whole lot for the engine without head work or aftermarket cams), but i've heard of guys putting out a rough equivalent of 300 bhp with full exhaust and a good tune

300 rwhp, you're looking at full exhaust, cams, ported heads, etc .... or nitrous

I'm talking bhp. I don't have the resources right now for the rwhp numbers. Now by a good tune, do you mean a programmer like Diablo or something?

well a programmer or handheld tuner can give you the means to get a good tune.when you order a tuner like that, they will ask you about the things that you have on your car, and they will create a generic tune based on that. those "mail-order" tunes aren't always going to be spot-on, and there have actually been people who have LOST hp when compared to the stock tune. to get the best possible setup, either tune it yourself with a wideband o2 sensor and programming software (Sniper software), or take it to a shop that does dyno tuning.
