Convertibles are for girls! They're loud, they're high maintainence, they leak, easy to break into, they flex too much, handle poorly, weigh more. The subframe connectors that come stock aren't very good. I realize that this is my opinion, but this is what I think. I will never buy a convertible of any sort. The only open are vehicles I drive are motorcycles.

Sure opinions are opinions, but damn.......
Theres way too many coupes out there. Your going to get a lot of looks and compliments on the vert. Oh, and its a Cobra.

btw- if people are complaining about interior noise.....perhaps their in the wrong car. Its a Stang, not alexus.The only thing you need to be hearing is the exhaust. As for theft, if someones wants to get into your car, its going to happen. Weather they rip the top or break a window. End of story.

I have owned both and wouldn't even think about owning another convertible mustang. They are slow, ugly, loud, and cold as hell during the winter. Not to mention hot as hell in the summer with the top down. Coupe FTW.

slow: it's a termi vert, I'm pretty sure it's not that slow

loud: I like listning to the sound of my exhaust (i'm sure most people do as well, thus getting aftermarket).
Cold during winter: I have a contour svt for the winter
hehe, anyhow just had to put in my .02
And honestly, I love my vert, I used to own a few crotch rockets and like the freedom, however; for racing it does suck. I can only go down to a 13.5in the 1/4 at Milan Dragway without getting a roll cage, and I KNOW the termi's go a LOT faster than 13.5. I would keep that in mind as well.

Please explain how that makes someone ignorant. Do I not have eyes? Last time I checked I do and they tell me convertibles are ugly. I have owned both so I have every right to state that as my opinion. If my reading is up to par, I'm pretty sure he asked for our opinions and that's what he is getting. Just because we don't have the same taste doesn't make us ignorant.

Whatever tough guy. i guess its just the way its said. its just stupid in my opinion. If someone is asking for your opinion, are you always an ***hole? Or is it possible that you could just say, eh, their not for me. Or, I personally don't care for the looks.
A LOT of people like them. In no way are they ugly. Its not really worth the argument.....you get my point.
Icould have probably kept it to myselfthat the back of your car looks ugly, with that black plastic trim piece. But now I felt obliged to tell you. My eyes told me so.

Not slow obviously, but slower than a coupe. and yes, having to get a cage sucks *** if you don't have the money for one.
Ugly, once again, my opinion. The lines of the top are not smooth. Also the whole car not being the same color just does not do it for me.
Loud: I'm talking more about road noise than exhaust. The wind whipping over the top can get very loud. Exhaust loud would never be a negative aspect.
Cold, you have a beater so that wont matter.
Once again, this is just my opinion. You asked for it so that's what you shall receive.

hahaha Ican see where TC713 is coming from.. He is just saying that all the vert guys are saying go for the vertandaren't talking bad about coupeswhen alot of coupeguys are talking trash about the verts.
