i didnt want black hood pins because i wanted the ford racing set....ide prefer quality over color since they are not there for looks anyways...i think it adds a nice touch with the chrome pony so im leaving them like that...if it ever bugged me ide have them powder coated

no way these pins will come out, and with yours even with a lanyard it wouldnt have saved them since the lanyard doesnt do anything except make you not loose them when theyre out... once you push the pin through theres a locking ring that flips over and makes it so the pin cant come out

ill update a pic for you under the hood once i redo them, right now it looks like ****...



the ziptie idea is good, but im just not sure how it would work....ill go get a video or pics or something and put them up so you can see how i have it in there and maybe offer up more suggestions...my friend seems to think they will even themselves out with some time so idk

and i dont want a damn lecture about cleaning my engine bay....the whole car needs a detail, i already know this

Is there a cap or cover that will slide down over the posts and cover up the welding spots or are you just going to clean them up when your done with the fix?

Don't sweat the engine bay, I could put a pic of mine up and distract everyone!

everything is off from the hood down to the heads...

I need a friend like Ox, maybe then I'd get her running again.

once its fixed im just going to paint the weldsand call it a day...i really dont care that much...my hood is never popped...
