as many coats as it takes to make sure its all black and no see through or gray spots...probably 3-4 coats on everything is what i used... very light coats though

did you see the pics? my block is sprayed lol...spray the whole thing... just not any internals or anything

my buddy painted the intake...he kept saying it didnt feel right spraying a brand new shiny intake haha

we spray canned this whole motor...nothing fancy like powdercoat

those valve covers are $130 new, and these already have the evac fittings welded into them...so we got a steal at $0 for them...the fittings are anodized blue, but my fuel lines and stuff will be blue/red or red/black (or blue/black if we get creative)...so im not sure how thats going to look, but its just details

you can also paint the oil valley with glyptal for improved drainback.

Good idea! On a side note I had heard you talk about the motor in other threads but just stumbled across this. Looks great man!

its pretty much on hold right now, until we find out where to the swap... its at my friends gmas house in their horse barn *no horses in it anymore*...we were going to do it there, but his gma is the hospital and may not make it so we may be moving it...my other friend might be getting a new shop this week...so we may do it there... who knows yet lol
