Post Will Typhoon Lower Intake gain power???

Hi everyone, i wanted to know if the typhoon lower intake actually gain any power to my 04 mustang gt. Has anybody had any problems with it??? Supposily it gain 21 more horse power to the wheels, is this true??? Has anybody put on this intake and felt it pick up power???? Thanks everyone, really appreciate your replies.

There is a "search" function on this board and you can get there by clicking the word "search" in the little blue bar towards the top of the page.

This has been talked about many of times and the general consensus is that you won't pick up much, if any, with that manifold. Look into the track heat manifold from Trick Flow.

Actually, while the TFS manifold is a better piece. They will both cause you to lose quite a bit of power until 5.2k+.

@OP: don't worry about it unless you have AT LEAST cams. A higher revving setup will benefit from a new manifold, but not so much on a stock 2v.

The aftermarket manifolds dont agree very well with the stock h/c powerband. Most likely you will lose a noticeable amount of midrange power with an aftermarket intake unless you swap to some different cams at least. A H/C swap is ideal for a the intake.
