Actually, its a real mod, i read about it somewhere but it doesn't actually do anything untill you're exceeding the limitations of the stock maf, You cut the plastic piece that runs across the maf before the sensor, i myself would never try it, not to mention i think the maf is sort of areodynamic to begin with how it starts skinny and gets thicker sort of like an arrow. Either way i'd say you did something with the MAF incorrectly, i don't see how this would give you valve chatter.... you change the sparkplugs recently?

nah the sensor is still there just the bottom part has been removed, I put the other one back on today. problem solved

gonna be dropping a 98 cobra engine in it soon I too am doing the "dollar menu" also gotta have priorities
