Exclamation installing new parts today need adivce

ok so i dropped of ym car today at the shop, was wondering if anyone has done this or might be familiar, am i over paying? is this a good deal or not?



charging me $1650.00 for the following install



heads, gaskets, fluids,

motor mounts

x2 ball joints

strut bar

spark plugs

brand new head gaskets

that sounds about right... I paid about a grand for just cams+springs+retainers

I'm not sure but that seems like a fair price. Most shops charge ~$80/hr.

$1650/$80 a hour = ~20 hours.

Well The heads stayed on my car for the cam install, figure they have to actually remove everything off the top of the car to get the heads off... + you are doing ball joints motor mounts, fluids, etc... I would def think that is along the "fair" lines

o949er how do u like those stage 2 comp cams?? did they make a big diffrence? how much hp did u gain? can u feel the diffrence?

love them. I gained ~30 rwhp from them, but the car pulls a lot harder now. Probably not a very cost effective method for adding power to our cars... but defiantly worth it if you have the money to poney up.
