But my torque was 263rwtq...not impressive. and the power curve looked kinda weird and i think it might be due to the clutch. but im not 100% sure. but thats only what i think. if you look up some of my past posts where i posted my videos on the dyno, you can hear it but i cant pull the videos up at work.
Actually powershifting probably does less wear on a clutch than slipping the clutch simply because it is not spending as much time partially engaged which is when the wear happens.

If your clutch is already worn to the point of slipping, then yeah, I can see how slamming gears no matter the method of shifting is going to drastically reduce whatever remaining time you have left in it before complete failure. If the clutch is good and has enough holding power to grab when shifting at rpms up in the 6k range, then it will not significantly reduce the life of the clutch by powershifting.

Well let me rephrase my idea of slipping. Ive had a few other cars that when you get a slipping clutch....you cant climb hills, so i guess what im saying is its not useless gone. I supose its probebly like mine was. I had a lot of problems with my factory clutch when i was racing it. I never had a smell, but when i was hot ******* it at the track it would always feel spongy like it wasnt gripping all the way. But you couldnt really hear it or see it on the tach, it just felt wrong. When i took it out the clutch was worn down almost to the buttons. So my guess is we have a hell of a pressure plate that allows us to keep going, but once you get excited about burned rubber, it doesnt have enough clutch material to maintain a good grip. I never had squeeking that i can rememeber tho.

Every clutch I have had slip you can clearly see it on the tach. You begin to accelerate. When suddenly you stop accelerating forward yet the tach is still climbing and engine revs. Generally you get the nice burnt clutch smell just afterwards.

it just feels like it doesnt pull as hard as it used to as well so i think that i dont have a clutch that is in all its glory if you know what i mean. Either that, or im just way to used to my car and it feels like stockish in power now.

If you car just feels slower than normal, chances are it's not even the clutch. Like stated above, a slipping clutch will cause the rpms to rise while not accelerating. It's not gonna just make your car feel sluggish.

When was the last time the car was on the dyno or run at the track? FYI, I had the same sort of issue a few months back. I was running 13.8-13.9 at like 98mph and though I was the worst driver in the world. Turns out I had clogged catalytic converters......It displayed no signs of any problems or threw any codes other than just not feeling as fast as it should have. Cats made no rattling noises or anything. I was missing 50rwhp because of the clogged cats. After replacing the broken mid-pipe, I went from 218rwhp to 271rwhp. And I went from 13.8-13.9 range to high 12s. Just a thought.......

It's also very easy to check for clogged cats on one side or the other. Just pull the rear 02 sensors out and feel the exhaust coming out of the bungs with your hand. If one side feels like there is more backpressure, then you probably have glogged cats on the higher pressure side.
