Wheel fitment question . . .

Wheel fitment question . . .
Probably a dumb question, but I couldn't really find anything.
I have an '02 GT, and will be buying a new set of wheels and tires soonish. Will wheels made for the 2005-2011 Mustangs fit the 1999-2004 'Stangs?
I'm just trying to find all my options before I really make a decision.

Well, I was looking at getting a set of the Shelby Super Snake wheels (which are friggin' expensive, but sexy), but wasn't sure if they'd work, as they are on the 2010 models.
Also, I've only been able to find them in 20"s, which I don't want.

if i remember from other posts it might have something to do with the back spacing that doesnt work, maybe hitting brakes or wheelwell, some guys said you can put 95-04 rims on the newer cars but not the other way,and backspacing is the only reason i can think of why

They sell a spacer kit that is 13mm for $200.00(set) which includes extended studs. With that kit you add those wheels for front wheel clearance. Its kinda of pricey but if you really like the 2005-2010 wheels. They sell plenty of replica wheels with proper offsets that have no clearance issues though.2005+ wheels have 45mm-50mm offset where as your 2002 model has 24mm offset.

The differential off-set between the SN95~S197 wheels are just about 5/8". This would put the new wheels this much deeper under your ride than an SN95 wheel, all else being equal.
The issue with the spacer kit is what to do with the extended length of the OEM lug-bolts and the back-side of your new wheels. Some wheels have a space for which the studs can extend, while others do not. There are other issues that spacers can create and recommend you just keep shopping to find wheels you like that are designed to fit your ride.
