yes and no, clutch can be adjusted so engagement points dont really mean anything.

when your clutch is going, you know. lets just say that. i think the accepted test for testing ur clutch is to put ur car in 5th gear at a stand still and try to take off. if your car stalls out, ur clutch still has life left.

my clutch is chattering bad, take offs feel horrible, i can feel it slipping if i rev too hard, etc... have been too busy running in and out of town to get it fixed but bottom line, you will know when your clutch is going.

when the clutch in my buddys lexus went, if he brought it up to about 4k rpm and stomed the gas in second, his clutch would slip and he'd go strait to redline.

Well all, if youre going for the king cobra, make sure you have a t45 and not a t3650. I'm just saying for aftermarket, not from ford, centerforce is the way to go. And wannabe, no need to apologize for not jumping on the bandwagon. Theres room for ya if you want to but ive heard the king cobra is pretty legit too. Never driven one but i imagine it probably feels close to stock.

I'll second the vote for the KC clutch, feels like stock, no issues, great price tag, and perfectly matched to the transmissions abilities. Only issue is, as teej mentioned, the clutch is not made currently for the 3650, only the t45. So make sure you know which one you have. It can go either way for the 01. But, really, if you have a t45, for the price and reliability I would get the KC for sure.
