Default Screw You Plastic Intake

So, the other day I was going out for a friendly run with a guy's 6.0 bolt on GTO and we do a 40 roll. I hit it in 2nd and as soon as I shift into 3rd I see smoke start pouring out from the back of my car. I pull over to find that the back part of the intake that leads to the heater core has broken off. Was awesome having coolant all over my engine bay. Its a good thing I have an intake with an aluminum crossover so I don't have to worry about it breaking /sarcasm. Anyway, bought a new intake and installed it today and can now get back to my usual racing ways.

I thought my engine let go at first too, I threw it into 5th gear for about 2-3 seconds and hit the gas, no clunk, then pulled over with a sigh of relief.

It happened on the very first run, so no such stories to speak of. Although, I have seen the guy around, we actually met up at a Supra meet and went for a run because last time I saw him on the street his buddy was driving. Guy was nice enough to pull over with me and help me ghetto rig my intake to drive home on, plus ran me up to the parts store to get coolant.

Just another stock one for now. 60$ and next day replacement is hard to beat.
