I have flows, the "American Thunder Catback". I've had them for like 4 years now and love them. But, I'm going to probably buy some Borla stingers and ditch the cats within the next year... something different...

The best thing to do is go on YouTube, spend an hour doing some "research", and figure out what sounds the best to you.

Is it ok to just add the mufflers with the stock cat back and then cut off the stock tips and weld in bigger ones?

Yes its ok to replace you Stock mufflers with aftermarket ones. And any muffler shop can cut off your factory tips and put different ones on there!

To the OP
By the time you buy the Flow weld-in mufflers and pay a shop to install, the price will be close to a complete American Muscle Flowmaster catback. This catback requires NO welding and can be done in you garage or driveway with a helper.

Don't do straight pipes... I personally have flow 40's and a Mac or/h pipe. I personally think the sound is "hollow" until about 2400 rpm's. I am currently looking at SSS and stingers, but who knows.
