Believe me.. I'd love to set you up with control arms. (it's what I do) but it definitely sounds like you need to do something about your trans & converter. You won't get the benefit of a good suspension system like UPR's if your trans & converter won't let you use any of your hp/tq off of the line.

Let me ask you this, possibly a stupid question, but have any of you Auto guys tried neutral dropping at the tree? I mean I wouldn't want to make a habit of it, but surely the car would leave harder?

i dont think anyone in the right mind would do that, unless they dont want their trans anymore.

Kugzy, I've heard both not to air them down, and too air them down, I just ran them what they were at when I pulled em off the cobra in the shop..

I'm kind of against swapping converters as my car is my DD, and want it to be comfortable, and suitable for someone who isnt into cars much. I read somewhere that the stock mach 1 tq converters will fit my trans, and bump up my stall a few hundred RPM, but I just cant find one, however, an extra 300 rpm on launch wont turn the car into a race car. I know that. Do you guys think it'd be worth the work? Gonna be taking the valve body off soon to do the transgo, and we are getting a lift here shortly, so the trans pull instead of valve body wouldnt be too horrible.

I've been getting ready to spray, as you can see in my sig, if I can spray directly at 2900 RPM in first and hold it, itll help take away from the low stall. So maybe I'll start there first, and see what I can get.

People say that about clutch dumps and powershifting too. I wasn't kidding. I'd try it in my own vehicle once just do see what it did. I didn't tell him to try it. I asked if anyone had tried it.

Spray will make it faster in the quarter, but you'll need a different converter to 60-foot better. (and good suspension, of course)

Yeah, I know what you mean UPR, but the spray will help over come the shotty 60' by giving me a decent ET...

3.73's, 75 shot, Transgo, K&N drop in, and a DR, does the car have enough guts to than cut a low 13 you guys think? Honestly, I'd be happy if I could just cut off a second from my ET, and I know alot of this is practice.

I have a 5spd so it is hard for me to relate to how your trans may be hurting your ETs.

However, I would expect a set of DRs, 3.73s, and a 75 shot to get you near 13.25 ETs.

You shouldn't have to increase your stall to a 3500 to get a "noticeable" improvement. Something in the 2600-2800 range might be a decent compromise for you.

GOOD LUCK and just have some fun with it!
