Not sure that will help much. I want to either completely remove the rotor and then caliper (maybe hang it somewhere or cap the line and go for a short ride), so I can single out what's making the noise.

It would also pretty much destroy the integrity of the brake hose, whether its reinforcement be polyester, steel, or even polyaramid.

I don't know what you life is worth to you, however I hold mine more dear than to be crushing rubber brake hoses with vise-grips...
