Default Leaky convertible?

Hey guys my wife drove though a rain shower today on her way home and now I noticed that there is standing water in the back window bay area also the back seat floor on the passenger side is wet also. Not sure if the water is running in from the back window? Any suguestions on where to look for the leak?

Check around the seals of the back window. I used to have an 86 convertible... and it was a disaster with the top after a number of years. Once they start to leak it may be time for a new top soon. But i would check around the back window. And if you find it alittle silicone may do the trick. All convertibles leak after awhile so if its not bad, dont be too concerned

Well I looked a little closer and the back window is not attached to the fabric in a couple of spots about 4-6" so I would assume that it is leaking in there.

I stopped at a trim shop and they want $1,400 for a new one installed. he said 10hrs at $80 hr.

ouch I don't think we will be driving this a whole lot more this summer right now my wife is driving it daily but it will get parked and a new work car bought for here so from here on out it will not be a daily driver. I am sure it will not get replaced this year but what would be a temp fix for this summer to get it to adhere back together?

Anyone here replace their own top? There looks to be some decent ones on ebay that won't explode the checkbook.
