Can't go wrong with a Mach 1 or 99 Cobra. Those LS1s would also be a good starting point. What are your goals for your car?

Yes they are (2Vs being limited). Honesty if I could go back to 07 I woulva bought a Mach 1 or a older model cobra. Would have loved to get a 03-04 Cobra but back then they were out of my price range. I'm really satisfied with the way my car sits now but Ive been through a lot with this car. Gotta thank the guys on MF though for helping me get through it.

2v is only limited by the amount of money you spend on it. we just brought up in a thread a few weeks ago that the fastest 99-04 on record was a 2v.

I think you miss the point. A doge caravan could be made to be a fast vehicle if you put a lot of money into it. Yes the 2Vs are a very capable car but if you want a very good start point for a high HP car, the 4Vs most defiently the way to go. I guarantee you that 2V that sat that record does not have the original 2V power plant.

Dot get me wrong. If you only have plans for a preety quick car that's around 400 -425 to the rear wheels, the 2Vs the way to go. Anything over that you'd better either go forged or do a 4V swap.

I see a lot of convertible Cobra's on Craiglist.

With that high a budget should be easy.
