Default Rear-End Noise--A New One

OK. I had some Motive 4:10 gears installed about a month ago, they whined horribly. So I got a set of FRPP Gears. The whine went away. It has been about 600 miles and now when the clutch is not engaged and the gears are free spinning (so to speak) I hear a clicking sound from the rear. Mind you there is no whine, just the clicking. It is as fast or slow as the car goes, and I checked the backlash as best as I could with the car in and out of gear. In gear almost no movement from the driveshaft(extremely minor), out of gear you can move it probably 1/4in left or right (guessing here). Does anyone else have this problem? Is it something I need to worry about? I am contacting the people who installed the gears today but I wanted to get your opinions. Thanks in advance.

The backlash is probably contributing to the noise. Also if its not the driveshaft, could be your bearings. Just out of curiousity, is it lowered (pinion angle/depth). But the place that installed them should definitely be able to fix it. Most places offer a 90 day warranty or the rear ends.

The car is lowered and I have the BMR Lower Control Arm Brackets on it. Do you think that is all it is?

I think bmr lowers are not adjustable, but if they are, check your pinion angle... i had noise until i got my pinion angle right.. maybe you need the uppers (if like mine) so you can make the right adjustments...

The BMR lower CA I have are not adjustable, but they sell a set that are. And they have an upper that is adjustable as well. But when I asked them if I needed adjustable LCAs they told me I should have no issues with the non-adjustable ones. I guess I will have to get it looked at just to be sure. Is there anybody else out there who has the same basic setup with the BMR LCAs and brackets that can tell me if they had this problem?

OK. Well I did some searching on the forum and wouldn't you know it, I had the reloaction brackets in the bottom holes and not the upper holes. So I swapped them, thus bringing the angle back up closer to stock and the noise went away. Don't I feel like an a** but at least it is fixed. Thanks for the help.
